Reformation Day
Retreat & Service featuring speakers Mr. Scott Barefoot & Pastor Jeremy Mattek of People of Grace "Ministering To Those Who Struggle With Same Sex Attractions" Saturday, October 31 Registration: 9 to 9:30 am Retreat Presentation with Lunch: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm Book Fair and Mission Displays: 2:30 to 4:30 pm Joint Reformation Service: 4:30 to 5:30 pm |
About the Retreat Topic:
Mr. Scott Barefoot will discuss his struggle to overcome homosexuality and his efforts to help others who are struggling to do the same. His presentation will also be helpful for those trying to minister to friends or family members struggling with same sex attraction. In addition to sharing his personal perspective, he will join Pastor Jeremy Mattek in sharing God's Word and some commonly quoted Scripture passages that defenders of homosexuality tend to try to twist to their will. At the end of the presentation there will be a question and answer period for the group. Pastor Mattek will also serve as the guest preacher for the 4:30 pm Joint Reformation Service. This is a unique opportunity to receive a powerful perspective on a topic that is in the headlines daily. Please invite those you feel would benefit from this information.
