WELCOME TO THE 6TH-8TH GRADE CLASSROOM!
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classroom. I am excited to share this new year with the young men and women of my class, reminding them each and every day, that "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
I would like to share a little about me. I graduated from Martin Luther College in 1998. I received my first call as principal and teacher to serve Lincoln Heights Lutheran School in Des Moines, IA. In 2003, I accepted a call to serve as principal, teacher, and youth minister at St. John's Lutheran School in Pardeeville, WI, where I served for 14 years. I am now entering my sixth year at Trinity as principal and teacher, where I have truly been blessed!
Outside of teaching, I enjoy everything about the outdoors: fishing, hunting, hiking, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, you name it. And when you can't find me outdoors, you'll probably find me at home cheering on the Packers and the Brewers.
My family is very important to me. My wife of 23 years, MeLissa, is using her gifts and talents to serve the littlest of lambs (preschool) at Trinity. She is also organizing our Trinity Seedlings program, which will bring God's Word to the birth to age three youngsters and their parents. My oldest daughter, Faith, is a 2nd grade teacher at Mt. Lebanon Lutheran school in Milwaukee. Emma is a senior at Wisconsin Lutheran College working toward a degree in communication. Brett has enlisted in the Marine Corps. The only one left at home is Brody, who is in 8th grade. Brody will be my last child to come through my classroom. The last member of our family is a lovable, 7-year-old black lab named Lambeau.
Now you may wonder why I have a picture of my family posted above. I can answer that! Just as I love and care for my immediate family and cherish the adventures that we share, I will do the same with my family at Trinity, especially the 17 students and families that I am blessed to serve this year in my classroom, and the 61 students and their families that currently attend Trinity Lutheran School. If at any time you have questions, concerns, or just need someone to talk to, I will always be there for you!
I will be using this page to keep you all posted on the adventures that our class will be having throughout the year. I hope that this school year, by God's grace, is blessed beyond measure!

We are in need of volunteers for scorebook, scoreboard, concessions, hall monitors, and clean-up. It is expected that parents of Trinity basketball players volunteer for one or more periods of time to help, and it is hoped that all other Trinity families will assist as well. You can also contact the school office or Mr. Wieting to sign up as well. Thanks to all who are willing to make this tournament a success!

Attention 8th Grade Students and Parents: If your student will be attending Lakeland Union next fall, mark your calendar for the following events:
Tuition Tax Deduction: Did you know you can deduct the tuition paid to Trinity on your state taxes? Please talk with your tax preparer to take advantage of this opportunity.
Winter Weather Wear: Please make sure your student has the appropriate clothing to go outside for recess each day. Winter coats, hats, and mittens are needed. Snow pants and boots will be needed as soon as we have snow. Always plan for outside recess.
Winter Weather Closings: If the Lakeland School District closes for the day (or portion of a day) due to inclement weather, Trinity will also be closed. Check local TV and radio stations, as well as Trinity’s Facebook page and website for closing information.
School Absences: If your student will not be in school on a given day due to illness, please either call the school office to leave a message or contact your student’s teacher directly. Only parents can excuse an absence; siblings cannot. A Notice of Absence sheet (available in the school office or online) needs to be filled out when an absence is preplanned. It should be returned to your student’s teacher prior to the absence. Thanks for your cooperation!
Church Attendance: Every week, church attendance will be taken in kindergarten through 8th grade. Its intent is to encourage an active worship life in our school families. Please make weekly worship the highlight of your week.
Attention 6th and 7th Grade Students and Parents: During the week of May 1, students in 6th and 7th grade will be Distance Learning using Google Classroom due to the fact that I will be in Washington, D.C. with the 8th grade students. On those days, your homes become their classrooms. All assignments and their due dates will be posted. Those assignments will be graded and are expected to be finished by the due dates given. If you prefer having traditional “paper” assignments sent home for the week, I am willing to do that as well. Please mark your calendars!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out!
